Wednewsday 9th May

Good News: Rebecca Hall looks set to fill Jessica Chastain's role in Iron Man 3. More Brits in superhero films!

Kick-Ass News: Universal are moving forward with Kick-Ass 2. No word yet on which characters (or indeed actors) will be returning but Matthew Vaughn will not be back as director. He's too busy with his X-Men. But Jeff Wadlow, currently writing the script, is looking set to take the helm.

Agent Phil News: no, he isn't getting a spin-off. But Clark Gregg, who plays Agent Phil in The Avengers, has been cast in Jason Reitman's new film, Labor Day, about a divorcee and her son who pick up a stranger who happens to be an ex-convict. Let's hope it has more spark than Young Adult.

Avatar News: James Cameron told the New York Times: "Last year I basically completely disbanded my production company’s development arm. So I’m not interested in developing anything. I’m in the Avatar business. Period. That’s it. I’m making Avatar 2Avatar 3, maybe Avatar 4, and I’m not going to produce other people’s movies for them.” Do we really need three more Avatars?

Trailer News: The Amazing Spider-Man gets a third trailer showcasing even more new footage. It looks so much better than the Raimi trilogy: slicker, funnier and pumped with adrenaline and intrigue.
