Wednewsday 19th September

Image of the Week: a set photo was leaked this week of the new Robocop suit as worn by Joel Kinnaman, due to be protecting the innocent and upholding the law in the reboot next year. The suit has not been vastly updated since the 80s original, although it is noticeably less silver.

Good News: the cast of the Arrested Development revival keeps on growing with Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers) and Terry Crews (er, The Expendables) signing on. This is finally happening!

Bad News: director Rupert Wyatt has walked away from The Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel. The promise of a May 2014 release date is looking less and less likely.

Mad News: Freddie Highmore (little Charlie Bucket from Burton's Chocolate Factory remake) will be playing the psychotic Norman Bates in the Psycho prequel series, Bates Motel. Highmore is mostly known for playing sweet, good-natured kids so expect a full reinvention of himself for this role. If Danielle Radcliffe can go from Harry Potter to the Horns adaptation then surely Highmore can also make the leap from golden boy to cross-dressing psychopath.

Trailer News: a brand new trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was unleashed today. The trailer is chock full of new footage including some big laughs and a glimpse of Gollum and Bilbo locking swords. Only three months to go...
